Nike Dunk High Premium (Alpha Culture Club)

Americas first all black athletic club the Alpha Culture Club was formed in the year 1904 in Harlem by Jamaican born brothers. After two years, the Alphas went on to form basketball team named Alpha Big Fives. The Alpha Big Fives basketball team went on to win the 1912 Colored Basketball World Championships. At these championships, they defeated the reigning champions Monticello Athletic Association of Pittsburgh. This particular edition of Nike Dunk was then officially licensed by this Alpha Black Fives Inc.
The term Black Five is referred to as the basketball leagues which boomed in the United States of America during the period of 1900 to 1940. This was when the ethnic division was institutionalized in which African-American players in Washington, Pittsburgh, New York, Chicago and other cities connected in intercity and community based rivalries.
The 1985 launched Nike Dunk edition is popular amongst the basketball players, skaters and some fashionable alike.
