Nike SB Tiffany

September 10th, 2007 | Category: Nike Shoes

There’s one Nike shoe that is synonymous with mystique: the Nike SB Tiffanys (here’s hypebeast’s review). These are some of the rarest and most sought-after collector’s shoes. They are also some of the most expensive shoes you can find. The Tiffanys run from $400-$700 depending on where you go. You are not likely to find these Nikes at regular shoe stores. You must either find a higher-end sneaker store, or buy them online.

The Nike SB Tiffanys (shown below) are turquois, black, silver and white. They have a glossy looking finish, which makes them stand out from any other pair of Nike shoes. Check ‘em out:

Nike SB

September 08th, 2007 | Category: Nike SB, Nike Shoes

The Nike SB, which stands for skateboarding, was released in 2002 and was made to rival many popular underground skateboarding shoes. Companies such as DC, and many others were dominating this market. When Nike finally released the SB, it was met with much praise among most skateboarders. The shoe is made thicker than usual with lots of ankle support for the curb surfers. Here’s one of them in black and white:

Nike Air Max

September 08th, 2007 | Category: Air Max, Nike Shoes

The Nike Air Max shoe is my personal favorite. With its lightweight design, and distinctive air bubble cushioning, these shoes are made for runners. Because of special materials needed to create this shoe, it usually carries a higher price tag. Most Air Max models start at $129, and can go well above $250 for non-rare colors. The more rare color combinations can run many hundreds of dolors. Here are some examples of Air Max:

These are one of my favorite Nike’s. The shoes shown above are the Nike Air Max 95 in gray and white with green air bubbles. They run about $150 retail, but you can usually get them cheaper online when they are on sale. You can buy the Nike Air Max 95 here. You can also get them here.

This is the Nike Air Max 90: Eminem Edition.

I especially like this model of Air Max because of the great use of green and blue and the smaller air bubble instead of the usual 360 degree bubble. Eminem himself designed these Nike’s for charity and they have been very popular with collectors. These rare models are usually very hard to find in stores, but a good place to always try are places like Sporty LA (shoe store in Los Angeles) and online forums such as Hypebeast.com.

Welcome to Nike Dunks!

September 08th, 2007 | Category: Nike Shoes, Notebook Dunks

Welcome. This is my first post of many. This blog is dedicated to the coolest shoes in the world: Nike Dunks. The Dunks were first introduced in 1985 as a similar model to the “Terminators.” Right away these shoes took off as collectors items. Nike realized the potential in only producing a few pairs of shoes for a specific color when collectors would search far and wide for them and pay premium prices.

The Dunk line of Nike shoes comes in many models. The most recently popular Dunks are the Notebook editions. Nike got together with Mead Notebooks, the most recognizable school product on the market, to create the Notebook Edition Dunks. nike-dunk-notebook-edition.jpg

As you can see, they like identical to the Mead notebook. They literally look like someone took a notebook and pasted on the Dunks. These are one of the most popular dunks right now. I will continue to write about all of the rare Nike shoes that people collect. Stay around to see my next post!
